The rest of the year
There are also six Eco-Centres on the territory of the City of Montreal where you may dispose of Hazardous Household Waste throughout the year. The closest one to our Town is Eco-Centre Côte-des-Neiges, at 6925 Côte-des-Neiges, between Bedford and Jean-Talon. Proof of residence is required (driving permit, copy of a tax bill, Accès-Montréal card or a utility bill with an identity card.) Please note that the Centre is closed on Mondays but open on Saturdays. For their business hours please call 514-872-3517.
Other places where to dispose of certain Hazardous Household Waste:
Used tires, engine oil, and car batteries:
Used tires are not accepted in the regular refuse collection. However, residents may dispose of them in any garage that sells tires.
Paints and dyes:
Residents may dispose of oil and latex paints as well as stains at the RONA Dismat stores. If the container is empty, it may be discarded in the refuse only after the traces of paint in the container are completely dry. Ideally, bring the container to the HHW collections or to one of the Eco-Centres.
Propane tanks:
Certain dealers accept used tanks for recycling.
Outdated medication:
Outdated medication can be returned to a pharmacy at all times.
