Tennis Courts Rules: Updated May 31

Quebec will allow non-contact sports like tennis to resume as of May 20.  Please read the rules below carefully before visiting the tennis courts.  There are many changes from past years.

Rules & Regulations

Play will be on a reservation basis; court must be paid in full.

Single play only, no lessons until further notice.
45 min time slots with 15 mins allotted for transition.


Every other court will be in use.
Courts # 1-5 on the hour with courts # 6-10 on the half hour.
You can not reserve a specific court; the court will be assigned to you in order of arrival.


Reservations can be made during office hours.
Reservation is by phone and the number to call is 514 369-8200 ext 8260
No voicemail or emails accepted.
Office hours: Mon- Thursday from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm, Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Saturday/Sunday from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Reservations must be paid in full at time of booking.


Starting day for a new period is Tuesday at 9 am.

Reservations start each Tuesday at 9 am. (Reservations can be made a maximum of 1 week in advance.)

Reservations will run Wednesday to Tuesday.

A limit of four reservations at a time will be permitted.

Each player should be restricted to 1 hour per day.


It is on a first come first serve basis.
Rain Checks will be given for last minute rain cancellations.
Be punctual and arrive ready to play.
No refunds for No shows
Cancellations must be received a minimum of 24 hours in advance and in writing at recreation@hampstead.qc.ca


Access will be granted to residents of Hampstead and 2019 Members.
Proof of residency will be required at the first booking.
It is a pay as you play system, no membership.


There will be resident fees and 2019 Member fees.  (see chart below)
Both players must be Hampstead Residents in order to benefit from the resident fee when paying as you play.

Rain Procedure

Please call the tennis info line at 514-369-8267 to confirm that the courts are playable. 

If your reservation is cancelled due to rain, please call to reschedule your court.  We apologize for any unforeseen circumstances.

PAY AS YOU PLAY

**If both players are members and the courts are available, walk-ons will be permitted at last minute. (Proof of identity is required).

Update

Starting Wednesday  May 27th, 2020 all 10 courts will be available to reserve.

The maximum number of courts one can book in advance has been raised to 4.
