Traffic calming measure

Traffic in the town is a concern for everyone. Several strategies are used to make Hampstead a safe place to live:

  • Raised crosswalks/road markings
  • Speed bumps
  • Bollards
  • Flower pots
  • Speed Sensor Signs

I can report at any time report a road safety problem on the SPVM website.

Motorists are going over the speed limit on your street, and you feel that this could compromise the safety of citizens. Contact Public Safety immediately to report it! You can then apply to add or modify calming traffic measures for your street section. Your request will be analyzed to determine what can be implemented to correct the situation. Once a solution is selected, a survey of residents on the street section will be conducted. If the Town receives positive feedback, work will begin in the next few weeks.
