One of the most prized honours of a marching unit is the conferring upon the unit of the privilege and distinction of the freedom of the city. The Town of Hampstead will honor the Canadian Grenadier Guards with Freedom of the City on Sunday, October 22nd.<\/p>\n

The regiment will assemble at Hampstead School, located at 83 Thurlow. They will commence their march eastward along rue Stratford towards the Hampstead City Hall. After a brief traditional protocol, the procession will continue westward, taking chemin Queen Mary, then turning right onto rue Merton, followed by a left turn onto rue Stratford. The final destination of the march will be Hampstead Park.<\/p>\n
