traditions, the Order of Hampstead highlights exemplary contributions that enrich municipal life and support the Town\u2019s social, cultural, environmental and civic development.<\/p><h4>Purpose of the Order<\/h4><p><strong>The Order of Hampstead aims to:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>recognize outstanding contributions to the community<\/li><li>promote civic engagement and leadership<\/li><li>celebrate excellence, volunteerism and public service<\/li><li>preserve the Town\u2019s civic legacy and collective memory<\/li><li>inspire future generations<\/li><\/ul><h4>Eligibility<\/h4><p><strong>Eligible nominees may include:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Hampstead residents<\/li><li>municipal employees<\/li><li>individuals or organizations whose contributions have significantly benefited the community<\/li><li>partners or collaborators who have contributed to Hampstead\u2019s development or reputation<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Recognized contributions may include:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>community and social engagement<\/li><li>arts, culture and heritage<\/li><li>education, mentorship and youth development<\/li><li>public safety, wellness and community community.<\/p><p><strong>Laureate of Hampstead (L.H.)<br \/><\/strong>The highest distinction of the Order, reserved for exceptional contributions that have profoundly shaped Hampstead and its civic legacy.<\/p><h4>Nomination Process<\/h4><p><strong>Nominations may be submitted by:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>a resident<\/li><li>a community organization or partner<\/li><li>a member of Council<\/li><li>the Director General<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Each nomination must include:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>the official nomination form<\/li><li>a detailed description of the nominee\u2019s contributions<\/li><li>supporting documentation (letters, testimonials, awards, etc.)<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Deadline: August 30<\/strong><\/p><h4>Selection Committee<\/h4><p>A Selection Committee reviews nominations and makes recommendations to Council.<\/p><p>The Committee includes representatives from municipal administration, Council and the community, including a previous recipient.<\/p><h4>Official Recognition Ceremony<\/h4><p>Honours and distinctions are presented during official ceremonies recognizing civic engagement, community leadership and exceptional
