Permit Application Form

All construction and renovation projects with a value of over $2,000 require a valid permit issued by the Town of Hampstead.

Your first step to applying for all permits starts with the Permit Application Form attached in pdf format.

Please complete, sign, date and return with payment of $75.00 to Town Hall along with all required documents listed under Building and Renovating.

***Please note that due to social distancing measures, documents must be sent via email at Permits issued via email. Payments by credit card, via secure email. For more information on possibility of other means of payment please call 514-369-8200, ext. 6438***

Only complete applications with all required documents will be processed.

Additional fees are applied to the following types of permit requests:

  • Request to the Planning Advisory Committee
    (expansion, addition, new construction): $300
  • Demolition: $725
  • Minor exemption request: $900

The following permit is exempt from all fees:

  • Tree removal: $0

Permit fees:

  • Minimum cost: $130
