Dog Park

Rules of use and responsible coexistence

Located at the corner of Chemin Queen Mary and Avenue Fleet, the Hampstead Park dog park is a fenced area designed to allow dogs to exercise freely in a secure environment.
The facility is equipped with an electronic locking system, park benches and water fountains for both owners and pets.
Access is free for Hampstead residents holding a valid dog permit.

Hours and access

Site hours:
Monday to Friday : 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Weekends and statutory holidays : 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Access to the dog park is limited to dogs registered with the Town and holding a valid permit, in accordance with municipal by-laws.

Access conditions

All dogs using the park must hold a valid Hampstead dog permit.

Dogs must be leashed before entering and when exiting the park.

Owners must maintain constant supervision of their dogs and may not leave the park without them.

Aggressive or threatening dogs are not permitted.

Use of the dog park is at the discretion of dog owners.

The Town of Hampstead assumes no responsibility for bodily injury or property damage.

Owners are legally responsible for their animals and any damage they may cause.

To maintain safety and cleanliness

  • Dog waste must be immediately picked up and disposed of in designated containers
  • Owners must fill any holes dug by their dogs
  • The electronic gate must be securely closed and locked when entering and exiting
  • Any aggressive behaviour or excessive barking requires immediate departure from the park

The park is monitored by Public Security officers.

Fines may be issued for violations:

  • Up to $300 for a first offence.
  • Up to $500 for subsequent offences.
