Swimming, splash pads and seasonal membership

The Town of Hampstead offers a seasonal membership providing access to the municipal pool and the Hampstead Park splash pad.
The facilities are designed to provide a safe, family-oriented environment in compliance with provincial regulations.
The pool’s maximum capacity is 350 persons, as required by Québec law.

Important Information

  • Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older.
  • Children 9 and under must remain within arm’s reach of an adult at all times.
  • Pool wristbands must be worn at all times.
  • Showering before entering the pool is mandatory under provincial law.

POOL OFFICE HOURS

Administration will be available for meetings every day from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Appointments can be made for other times upon request.

All registrations will now be done exclusively online. Make sure you’re ready:

  • Create your my.Hampstead account.
  • Add your family members to your account.
  • Apply for a citizen card for yourself and each member of your family (proof of residence is required for both children and adults).

Your card must be approved before you can register. Please allow time for this process.

Registrations by telephone or e-mail will not be accepted.

Hampstead residents who have purchased a family membership will receive 10 free day passes for guests, be it family or friends. Residents may use a maximum of two guest passes per visit.

Proof of residence is required as only Hampstead residents are eligible this year. Verification of residency is required before the Community Services and Recreation Department can finalize your purchase. 

Accepted proofs for adults: driver’s license, municipal tax bill, most recent utility, or cable bill.
Accepted proofs for children: verification note from school/report card with home address on it, or original birth certificate.

* This pass will provide entry to the entire family if proof of residency is provided for each family member.

  1. Children 9 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times and must be within arm’s length. Non-swimmers (regardless of age) must be accompanied into the water by an adult in swimming attire.
  2. All persons are required by Quebec law to take a shower each time they enter the pool.
  3. Diving is permitted in the deep end only.
  4. All food and drinks must be consumed outside the pool area or in designated palis area.
  5. Glass containers are FORBIDDEN on the pool premises.
  6. Running is prohibited. Pool edges become slippery when wet.
  7. Pushing or rough play is not allowed.
  8. Only bathers wearing commercially approved swim wear will be granted access to the pool; regular street clothes and athletic wear are not considered appropriate swimming attire.
  9. Children that are not toilet-trained MUST wear appropriate “swim diapers”. Regular diapers are not permitted.
  10. Maximum capacity is 350 people in the pool facility, as required by the provincial code.
  11. Smoking is FORBIDDEN.
  12. Alcoholic beverages, bicycles, skateboards and roller blades are not permitted in the pool area.
  13. Any person having an open blister or cut is not permitted to use the pool, splash park or splash pad.
  14. No climbing or hanging on the splash park toys and hoops. Please do not stand on the concrete walls surrounding and inside the splash park.
  15. Deck chairs are limited. The use of personal chairs is permitted provided there is space. Town reserves the right to limit the number of chairs/loungers on deck.
  16. Facility Bracelets must be worn at all times.
  17. It is also requested to pick up and clean up after oneself to keep the grounds clean.
