Indoor and outdoor play – Reservations and rules

Enjoy pickleball in Hampstead, a dynamic and accessible sport for all skill levels.

Whether you are a seasoned player or just getting started, our facilities offer an inclusive and active environment focused on friendly competition and recreation.

Play priority is given to Hampstead residents.

Indoor reservations are required.
No lessons or leagues are permitted on municipal courts.

Indoor Pickleball

Address : 30 Lyncroft

Reservations are required: 1 hour block, taken weekly on Friday for the following week

Limited space, No Lessons, No Leagues

Reservations are taken ONLY by email at recreation@hampstead.qc.ca
Email Reservations will be treated during regular office hours (Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)

* Reservations are done on a weekly basis on Fridays and are dependent on the Hampstead Multipurpose room availability.

Cost (proof of residency required by email)
Hampstead Residents = 5$ for 1 hour block (per participant)
Non-Residents = 10$ for 1 hour block (per participant)

* Payment must be made within 24 hours or before arrival for last-minute bookings. If payment is not made within the specified time, the reservation will be cancelled. Please note that a Square invoice is sent to the e-mail address provided and that all players must be registered.

Guidelines

Drop in guidelines when there is a wait time

Games are to 11 with no deuce play if others are waiting.
Waiting players should place their paddles in the corresponding courts paddle rack.
If 1 player is waiting, 1 of the player’s drop-outs (generally 1 of the losing players).
If 2 or more players are waiting, a corresponding number of players drop out (generally beginning with the 2 losing players)
Winning players who play in a succeeding second game of 11 should drop out after completing the second game if there are waiting players.

Please remember to ask for permission if passing through another court being used and thank the players while passing.

Rules and regulations

Courts are for public use only, at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis.
Casual games only. No lessons or league plays.
When waiting for a court, players must remain on the outside of the facility until a court becomes available.
Be courteous and sportsmanlike in conversation and conduct.
Do your part to keep the courts clean. Place litter in garbage cans.

During certain periods, courts may be reserved for Parks and Recreation Department usage.

Please do not use tennis wall when pickleball is in use.

Outdoor Pickleball

Hours of operation 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Playing Priority: Hampstead Residents

ALL PLAYERS MUST ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING RULES WITHOUT EXCEPTION:

The use of the courts for lessons and leagues is prohibited.
Upon arrival, players must place their paddle in the slot of the racket stand on the left to indicate their turn.
Players must wait in line behind their respective paddle.
Players must respect the order of arrival and take turns playing.
Games are played to 11 points, and in case of a tie, the winner must win by 2 points.
After each game played, players must cede the court to waiting players.
Singles games are only allowed if the courts are unoccupied and there are no waiting players.
When there are 5 or more players waiting, rotate 4 off and 4 on.
All players must wear proper shoes and shirts are required.
Please do not litter. Food, glass bottles and pets are not permitted inside the courts.
