Parking

Permits, tolerances and applicable regulations

Parking in Hampstead is regulated to ensure safe traffic circulation, preserve street accessibility and promote fair use of public space. Parking rules apply throughout the municipality and may vary depending on season and specific circumstances, such as snow removal operations or municipal work.
Overnight on-street parking is generally prohibited between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., except where permitted under municipal regulations, during announced tolerance periods or with a valid permit. Motorists are responsible for verifying applicable restrictions before parking their vehicles. Failure to comply with parking regulations may result in a ticket.
