As our community reflects on the tragedy that unfolded yesterday, we are reminded of the fragility of life and the importance of standing together in difficult times.
We mourn the tragic loss of Agent Mohamed Lamine Benredouane of the SPVM, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Although his service extended across many communities, he had also responded to calls in Hampstead, making this loss feel especially close to home. We also mourn the loss of Michael Moshe Mizrahi, a devoted father of three and a member of our Jewish community whose passing has deeply shaken many among us.
On days such as these, we are reminded never to take for granted those who dedicate their lives to protecting others, nor the precious gift of the loved ones who enrich our communities every day.
More than ever, this tragedy reminds us of the importance of compassion, unity, and supporting one another. In moments of sorrow, it is our shared humanity that helps us move forward together.
On behalf of the Town of Hampstead, we extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends, colleagues, and loved ones of Agent Mohamed Lamine Benredouane and Michael Moshe Mizrahi, as well as to all those affected by these heartbreaking losses. We also wish to express our sincere gratitude to the women and men of the SPVM who continue to serve and protect our communities with courage and dedication. Our thoughts are also with the officer who remains hospitalized, and we wish her a full and speedy recovery.
